जब मुझे एक Hit-and-Run Driver को Track करना पड़ा

पिछले साल जनवरी में एक रविवार की सुबह की बात है। मैं अपनी society के gate के पास खड़ा था जब अचानक एक तेज़ रफ़्तार Swift गुज़री और मेरे पड़ोसी uncle की parked Activa को टक्कर मार दी। Driver ने speed कम करने की भी कोशिश नहीं की - सीधे भाग गया।

CCTV footage देखी तो first 10 digits clear थे लेकिन last digit का confusion था - 6 था या 8? Uncle police complaint करने जा रहे थे, लेकिन मैंने कहा "रुकिए, पहले मैं online try करता हूं."

मैंने Parivahan portal पर दोनों combinations try किए:

  • DL-1C-BJ-5XX6
  • DL-1C-BJ-5XX8

दूसरे number पर hit मिली! White Swift, owner का नाम partially दिख रहा था "RO****T SI**H", registered address Delhi (South) area में था.

मैंने ये details uncle को दीं, उन्होंने proper police complaint की. Police ने address से driver को trace किया. Driver ने पहले तो मना किया, but CCTV footage और RC match से prove हो gaya. Finally usne ₹10,000 compensation दिया और uncle की Activa repair करवा दी.

अगर मुझे ये online RC check करना नहीं आता, तो शायद uncle को अपनी जेब से ₹12,000 खर्च करने पड़ते!

आज मैं आपको बताऊंगा कि किसी भी गाड़ी के नंबर से उसकी RC details कैसे निकालें - legally और आसानी से.

गाड़ी नंबर से RC डिटेल जानना क्यों ज़रूरी है?

सड़क पर चलती किसी भी गाड़ी के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करना कई स्थितियों में बहुत उपयोगी हो सकता है।

1. सेकंड-हैंड वाहन खरीदते समय

मेरा friend Karan का case:
OLX पर Honda City दिख रही थी - photos में बिल्कुल new जैसी. Seller bol रहा था "2020 model है, बस 3 साल पुरानी."
Karan ने पूछा "Registration number de do, मैं एक बार check कर लूं." Parivahan पर check किया तो shock लग गया - registration date 15-March-2017 थी! Matlab 6+ साल पुरानी थी, 3 नहीं!

  • असली registration date
  • Actual owner का नाम (partial)

2. Hit-and-Run Accidents

जैसे मेरे uncle के साथ हुआ. अगर आप किसी accident के witness हो या victim हो:

  • Number plate note कर लो

5. Vehicle की History Verify करना

जब भी कोई used vehicle खरीदो:

  • पहले RC online check करो
  • फिर physical RC match करो
  • Details टकरानी चाहिए exactly: Registration number, Engine number (last 5 digits), Chassis number (last 5 digits), Make/Model, Color
  • Agar koi mismatch है तो vehicle stolen या duplicate RC हो sakti hai!

1. मालिक का नाम (Partially Masked)

कैसे use करें:
अगर आप seller से बात कर रहे हो, तो पूछो "आपका नाम?"

  • Agar wo bole "Sandeep Kumar" और RC में "SAN****P KU**R" दिख रहा है = Match ✅
  • Agar wo bole "Ramesh Sharma" और RC में "SAN****P" है = Mismatch ❌

Pro tip: First name के starting 3 letters और last name के starting 2 letters usually visible होते हैं. Bas इतना ही काफी है verification के लिए!

2. Registration की तारीख

Example:

Current date November है, तो ye expired है!

Browser में जाओ: parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/

Not recommended: Internet Explorer (outdated, problems आती हैं)

Step 2: "Know Your Vehicle Details" पर जाओ

Homepage पर आपको कई options दिखेंगे:

  • Menu में "Informational Services" section ढूंढो
  • उसमें "Know Your Vehicle Details" पर click करो

Format समझो:
